Before you feel sorry for him, you should know he has been lounging around all day while I worked. Once I coaxed him out, he seemed to enjoy digging holes for the 11 apple trees we are planting in our 'mini orchard'. That isn't sweat on his shirt, it's wet from a little rain shower that came along while he was digging. There are so many projects going on around the farm, its hard to know where to start. Now that the weather is getting warmer, there is a lot to do! Last weekend, John and Taylor poured concrete for the front porch. For me this was as exciting as winning the lottery. After suffering through the winter with gravel and mud, there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I can't wait till we pour the car pad and gravel the rest of the driveway. It doesn't take much to make me happy. Next will come staining the upstairs porch and putting the rock on the front of the basement. Grass seed is going down in the yard and in sections of the pasture. The sheep are still in their winter paddock waiting for the grass to grow, and for the fence man to come back and build the paddocks for rotational grazing. We hope to see him next week.

My grandfather bought a farm when I was in 5th grade. He loved working on the farm but like you said there were never ending projects; however, many rewards from those projects!
